For the fourth consecutive year, EDP has been included in the international ranking of “The World’s Most Ethical Companies – WME” by the Ethisphere Institute, the world leader in the promotion of ethical business practice standards.

The World’s Most Ethical Companies recognizes those organizations that have a significant impact on the manner in which business is conducted, through the promotion of a culture of ethics and transparency at all levels within the company.

To be recognized for the fourth consecutive year highlights EDP’s commitment to maintain the main standards and practices that guarantee value, over the long-term, for the different stakeholders, including our customers, staff, suppliers, regulators and investors.

In this context, EDP was considered a benchmark in the field of Energy and Utilities Electric, alongside another four companies at the global level.
EDP Group, the only Portuguese company included on the international index, was recognized not only for its adoption of good practices of sustainability and ethics in all its business areas, but also for its contribution to the entire value chain and to society in general, by promoting the shared values of integrity, responsibility and transparency in all its activities.

“Earning this recognition involves the collective action of a global labor force, from top to bottom. Accordingly, we congratulate all EDP employees for this extraordinary achievement”, said Ethisphere’s Chief Executive Officer, Timothy Erblich.
