EDP University Challenge 2009
The EDP University Challenge 2009 project seeks to contribute to developing excellence in Spanish university graduates’ supplementary academic training. The project’s objective is to reward academic and scientific areas, thus promoting greater interrelations between the university and the corporate world.In this first edition in Spain, and the third in Portugal, the “EDP University Challenge” study theme is “EDP and renewable energies: a joint future”.How the EDP University Challenge 09 works”EDP University Challenge 2009″ is an annual contest that will take place during both semesters of the 2009 academic year. Each semester, there will be a period for working on the respective project. These periods will have a duration of about 3 months after the deadline for submitting applications.The first period for working on projects corresponds to the first semester of the 2009 academic year. The deadline for submitting applications for this first period will be November 28, 2008. The projects will be due on February 10, 2009.The second period for working on projects corresponds to the second semester of the 2009 academic year. The deadline for submitting the applications for this second period will be March 9, 2009. The projects must be submitted before June 9, 2009.The winning students will receive a 10,000 Euro scholarship, and the professor accompanying the group will receive a 3,500 Euro research grant.All winning group members will also have the possibility of doing a 3 month internship with Grupo EDP in Spain, Portugal or Brazil.
