EDPR in the conference on opportunities in Poland
EDP Renováveis Chief Business Development Officer Luis Adão da Fonseca participated in the conference on opportunities in Poland sponsored by Portuguese newspaper Negócios. During his presentation, he announced an investment of 300 million euros that will help EDPR become a market leader in the coming year.
EDP Renováveis will invest 300 million euros in Poland next year. This amount will help the company become market leader in that country (EDP Renováveis’ current market share in Poland is 20%).
“We want to be the leader in most, if not all, of the countries in which we operate,” said Luis Adão da Fonseca. “Our competitors in Poland are present in over 20 countries. We are in only 11 – because we want to be the leader in all of them,” added the CBDO.
Luis Adão da Fonseca went on to say: “We will invest approximately 300 million euros next year in Poland. Our goal is to be the market leader. And with this investment, I believe we will be.” Thus Poland, which was one of the first countries EDP Renováveis ventured into, appears to be a secure investment for the company. Market leadership appears to be close at hand, thereby equalling a feat achieved by Jerónimo Martins in the distribution sector.
