EDPR NA Hosts Annual Customer Event in Dallas

The EDPR NA Customer Event was held April 4-7, in Dallas, Texas.
This annual event affords EDPR NA the opportunity to connect with potential PPA clients in a small group setting and offers quality face-to-face discussions while nurturing our existing relationship with our long-term clients.

EDPR NA’s three regional executive vice presidents, Steve Irvin, Bill Whitlock, and Andrew Young, hosted the event along with their regional Origination team members: Tommy Greer, Teran Smith, Payton Wright, Heather Wong, Chris Baxter, Mel Palmer, and Jacob Steubing. Event Manager, Tammi Day, worked directly with the EDPR NA team as well as EDPR NA’s clients and vendors to ensure seamless planning, budget, and logistics execution. External Communications Associate Adam Renz provided support, as well.

During the four-day event, EDPR NA hosted a speaker panel designed to update and inform our key partners about recent developments in the landscape of American wind energy generation in the last year. Drawing on the experience of a variety of EDPR NA and industry experts, attendees gained a high-level understanding of current industry issues as well as a holistic view of where the industry is headed next. This year’s speaker panel included CEO Gabriel Alonso, Risks & Markets Director Mike Finger, CTU Technology Director Mike Outten, Central Environmental Manager Jason Funk, and Steve Irvin. Rounding out the panel were two industry experts: Independent Energy Producers Association CEO Jan Smutny-Jones and Jeff Clark from the Wind Coalition.

Attendees present at this year’s event were from the following organizations: AMEREN Corporation, Constellation Energy, Garland Power and Light, Public Service Electric & Gas Company (PSEG), Timberwest, and Westar. Clients from a few other companies were also represented.

Overall, the event was a success, and EDPR NA awaits the exciting opportunities that the event will produce.
