EDPR’s parent company, EDP – Energias de Portugal – based in Lisbon, has been developing wind farms since 1996 when a 10 MW wind farm was built in the north of Portugal. Today EDPR has wind farms across Portugal with total installed capacity of 1,2 GW (including Eólicas de Portugal consortium), a solar PV power plant of 2 MW, and a regional office in the city of Porto, where a Dispatch Center controls EDPR wind farms remotely on a real time basis.
