To achieve our zero accidents goal, EDPR has implemented health and safety management systems based on the OSHAS 18001:2007 specifications. The standards and procedures of these systems are adapted to the specific geography of where they’re utilized, and are developed based on country regulation and industry best practices.
The health and safety management system is supported by different manuals, control procedures, instructions and specifications. The Health and Safety Management Manual ensures the effective execution of EDPR’s OH&S policy. The manual summarizes EDPR’s commitment to OH&S issues and describes the organizational structure, responsibilities, functions, practices, procedures and the necessary resources for managing OH&S at EDPR and achieving the defined goals.
EDPR’s commitment to preserve the health and safety of its employees is recognized with the Health & Safety certification OSHAS 18001:2007. This certification covers more than 90%* of our operations. By the end of 2017, EDPR expects to have all of its installed capacity certified.
* OHSAS 18001 certification. Calculation based on 2014YE installed capacity. Installations are certified the year after been reported.
