The “kilos of solidarity” campaign closes a new edition with great success in participation
A total of 1,791 kilos of food were collected during the month of March between the EDPR offices in Europe and North America during a new edition of the campaign “Kilos of solidarity” which the company launches each year to help the least favored.
On this occasion, the results have more than doubled the figures reached in 2014, something that we could call a total success when thinking about the voluntary collaboration offered by most of EDPR’s employees, which has been especially relevant.
Basic products, most of them food, were sent to several associations, NGOs and churches in each of the cities in which EDPR is present.
In Spain, those receiving the donations will be the church Home for the Homeless and the Hermandad del Refugio of Madrid and Zaragoza respectively, who take care of children and families with low income. In turn, a community kitchen in the town of Torreblanca in Seville and the Asturias Food Bank in Oviedo will also receive this aid.
In addition, several food banks in Warsaw, Houston and Edinburgh will be in charge of distributing the kilos of food that were collected in these cities among those families that need them the most. Four charity associations were also selected in France, Italy, Romania and Portugal with which EDPR will collaborate to donate products that were collected by employees during the campaign.
Once again, EDPR employees have shown their social commitment with charitable causes.
