HSE Management System

The health, safety and well-being of our employees, as well as the protection of the environment, are a priority for EDPR.

These commitments are firmly set in the Health and Safety Policy and Environmental Policy and have been backed by the certification of both management systems for over 10 years.

Following the reference provided by the international standards ISO 14001:2015 and ISO 45001:2018, EDPR merged the Environmental Management System with the H&S Management Systems for a more global and efficient approach, simplifying processes and managing the potential risks of its activity. In 2020, the new Health, Safety and Environment Management System (HSEMS), where synergies play a fundamental role, was implemented and jointly certified by an independent certifying organisation.

EDPR aims to ensure the objective of "Zero accidents” through its health and safety policy to manage and prevent future accidents by defining processes for the safe management of all activities in all the geographies where it operates, and to give support to the business in the implementation of said processes.

To achieve this goal, EDPR has implemented HSEMS based on the ISO 45001 specifications for the H&S topics. The standards and procedures of these system are adapted to the specific geography of the sites where they are used and are developed based on each country’s regulations and industry best practices. EDPR takes a data-driven approach in order to identify and react to leading causes of injury. The implementation of these systems allows for better management and prevention of future accidents, with the objective of zero accidents overall.
