At EDPR, there’s a commitment to integrate the social aspects in planning and decision-making and to guarantee responsible operations throughout the whole lifecycle of its business. As a result, EDPR undertakes to respect and foster due respect for these practices within the Company and in its supply chain, as well as to provide dignified working conditions for all.

For the Company, it is a top priority to promote human rights and fair labour practices across the entire value chain. EDPR respects and undertakes to promote Human and Labour Rights internally, in its suppliers, customers and the communities where it operates, namely in indigenous communities. This commitment has been reflected in EDPR's Code of Ethics since 2009. However, given the increasing relevance of this topic, EDPR's first Human and Labour Rights Policy was approved in 2022.

This Policy is articulated with the Code of Ethics, the Stakeholder Relationship Policy, and the Supplier's Code of Conduct, and identifies the references, norms and international conventions to which it is submitted, establishing the procedures that ensure compliance with them. 

EDPR’s Speak Up Channel is accessible to all employees, customers, suppliers, and other stakeholders for the communication of any complaint, denunciation, or clarification of any situation of ethical nature, including those related to human and labour rights and those that may occur in the supply chain. The Ethics Ombudsperson, a third-party investigator, receives these communications, investigates, and documents the procedure followed for each of them, playing an essential role guaranteeing impartiality and objectivity throughout the process. A preliminary report is then submitted to the Ethics Committee, which analyses each situation and decides how to proceed.
