KANSAS CITY, KS (Feb. 13, 2020) – On Thursday, February 13, five teams of students from three schools gathered at Olathe West High School to compete in the Kansas City KidWind Challenge.

This was the first of five regional KidWind Challenges taking place in Kansas in 2020 and the first-ever KidWind Challenge in Kansas City.  Winners of the Kansas City Challenge will qualify for the Statewide Kansas KidWind Challenge where they will compete for an invitation to Nationals.

“It was a lot of fun and great to see what the kids had achieved,” said Stevee Kennard, Environmental Manager – Central Region, who is based in EDPR NA’s Overland Park, Kansas, office and volunteered as a judge at the event.

EDPR NA is sponsoring the KidWind program in Kansas to help bring hands-on renewable energy activities to students across the state.
