Pedro Vasconcelos

Executive Board Member EDP
Chief Executive Officer EDP Renewables APAC

Mr. Pedro Vasconcelos is a member of EDP Executive Board of Directors and a member of EDP Renewables Management Team.

He was most recently appointed Executive Board Member of EDP in April 2023 and has been EDP Renewables’ Chief Operating Officer for the APAC region and member of the board of Ocean Winds, EDPR’s dedicated offshore joint venture with Engie, since November 2021 as well as Executive Chairman of Sunseap Group (Singapore) since February 2022.

Previously, Head of M&A and Corporate Development (2017-2022) and Head of Solar Strategy (2016 2017) at EDP Renewables and has held executive roles at both EDP International and Hydro Global as Chief Business Development Officer since 2014.
Joined EDP in 2007, working as an M&A Project Manager until 2009. He was then seconded to NGEN Partners, a California-based cleantech US venture capital firm, as an Associate, before returning to Lisbon two years later to become EDP's CEO Chief of Staff until 2013.

Mr. Pedro Vasconcelos has an MSc in Aerospace Engineering from Instituto Superior Técnico, Portugal, and an MBA with Distinction from INSEAD, Singapore/France.

Frank Phuan

Business CEO

Frank Phuan belongs to the second generation of a solar industry business that has been established for over three decades. Together with his team, Frank grew a 5-man operation in Singapore to a 100-staff regional business spanning across regions including Singapore, Malaysia, India, Cambodia, Thailand, Philippines and Australia.

Frank has over 20 years of experience in the solar industry leading numerous projects and delivering public speeches on solar systems technologies, sustainability strategy, green buildings and infrastructure, greenhouse gas emission reduction, solar farm and rooftop solar Power Purchase Agreement (PPA) projects across the Asia Pacific.

Frank was awarded the distinguished Nanyang Outstanding Young Alumni Award in 2014, the prestigious Entrepreneur of the Year Award (EYA) in 2015, the PVSEC Special Award in 2016 in recognition of his contribution to the growth of the photovoltaic industrial technology in Singapore, and was named an honouree of the Spirit of Enterprise Award in 2017.

Frank holds an Honours degree from Nanyang Technological University (NTU) in Applied Science in Material Engineering.

Lawrence Wu 

Chief Financial Officer 

Lawrence Wu has more than 22 years of experience in corporate finance and investments, specializing in M&A and restructurings, reverse takeovers, schemes of arrangements and delisting of public companies, as well as capital fundraising. Prior to founding EDP Renewables APAC (Formerly Sunseap Group), Lawrence held appointments at DBS Bank (Vice President), Macquarie (Vice President) and BNP Paribas (Director).

Lawrence spearheads the group's efforts in capital raising, playing a vital role in raising the requisite funding for the group, and putting in place the capital structure required for its Solar Power Purchase Agreement (PPA) projects. These efforts helped set the foundation for the group's subsequent projects. Lawrence also carries with him more than 7 years of venture capital investing in the sustainability space and is a Partner and Director of TRIREC Pte Ltd, a renewable energy venture capital firm that focuses on companies in the de-carbonization arena.

Lawrence was named an honouree of the Spirit of Enterprise Award in 2017, an achievement he shares with his Co-Founder, Frank. Lawrence graduated from the Nanyang Technological University with First Class Honours in Accountancy in 2000, and he is both a Certified Public Accountant (Singapore), an ISCA Infrastructure and Project Finance Professional and a Chartered Financial Analyst. 

Filipa Ricciardi 

Executive Director, Client Solutions & Asset Operations APAC

Filipa Ricciardi graduated with Bachelor's and Master's degrees in Finance from Universidade Nova de Lisboa, fully sponsored for academic excellence, including a class medal for best degree. She also holds an MBA from INSEAD. 
 
She started her career at Goldman Sachs in London (UK), where she worked primarily in the securities division for the Foreign Exchange market, covering several clients, including institutional investors, corporates and hedge funds based mainly in Iberia. 
 
In 2010, she joined Haitong (formerly BESI) in the Investment Banking Division, working in the Mergers & Acquisitions team, where she completed a wide range of transactions (+USD 20 billion) including buy-side and sell-side mandates for corporates and financial sponsors. 
 
In 2016, after her MBA, she joined UBER Technologies as Operations Manager, helping to build the rider business in Portugal from ground-up, before taking over as General Manager of Uber Eats for Portugal in 2018. 
 
In 2019, she became part of the commercial arm of EDP as the Head of Business Development of New Downstream opportunities, later joining the corporate holding to perform Investor Relations duties, supporting both the CEO and CFO in establishing the relationship with equity sell-side and investor communities. Since 2021, she has been Head of Stakeholders and Corporate Affairs at EDP and has now been appointed to join EDP Renewables APAC as Chief Solutions. 

Robert Yap 

Non-Executive Director, Management Board EDP Renewables APAC 

Robert is a Singaporean business leader involved in Renewable Energy, Information Technology and Private Investments. He is presently the Chairman, Advisory Board and Non-Executive Director of the Management Board for EDP Renewables APAC, a subsidiary of Energias de Portugal Renewables (EDPR) S.A. which is listed on Euronext. Concurrently, Robert is Chairman of Skylab Holding and Independent Director with NTUC FairPrice Group, Jurong Port, IMDA Singapore and Alexandra Health Fund Limited. 
 
In February 2022, Robert was appointed by the Monetary Authority of Singapore (MAS) as a Council member in the Corporate Governance Advisory Committee. He is also a member of the Council for Board Diversity under the Ministry of Social and Family Development (MSF) and senior advisor to Jubilee Partners, a private investment firm. 
 
In January 2020, Robert was conferred a Singapore Management University (SMU) Distinguished Fellow and the inaugural Dean's Fellow of Information Systems for his contribution as an eminent leader of industry. 
 
Robert held a distinguished global career before retiring in December 2014. He joined DFS Group senior global leadership in 2004 and was Group EVP for Global Business Services and a senior member of Louis Vuitton Moet Hennessy (LVMH) global CIO council. During this period, he was jointly the President of DFS Venture Singapore. 
 
Prior to joining DFS, Robert was CEO for East Asia at PSA International. Between 2006 till 2014, Robert was a member of IBM Corporation Global Advisory Board in New York, US. His past board directorships of SGX listed companies included supply chain and technology companies. During the period from 2014 till 2018, Robert represented Singapore as a council member of the ASEAN Business Advisory Council and served as Deputy Secretary for Singapore National Employers Federation. 
 
Robert was conferred a Bachelor degree in Mechanical Engineering with honours and a Master of Engineering Science from UNSW in Sydney. 

Bill Chua Teck Huat 

Independent Director 

After a distinguished banking career of over thirty-four years, Bill retired from United Overseas Bank Limited (UOB) in November 2014. He was then Managing Director and Head, Global Financial Institutions. He has had management responsibilities in the front, middle and back offices at Citibank, Overseas Union Bank (OUB) & UOB. He has led and closed major deals in capital markets, investment banking and transaction banking. In operations, he successfully integrated the back offices of OUB into UOB. Bill was also on the boards of several bank owned subsidiaries and joint venture companies. 
 
Bill is currently an independent director on the boards of Sunseap Group Pte Ltd, Citibank Singapore Limited, Defence Science & Technology Agency, Boardroom Executive Services Limited, and Green Sands Equity Inc. In the past, he was on Jurong International, a JTC Corporation subsidiary; CLS AG, the holding company of CLS Bank & CLS Services Ltd; Singapore Technologies Electronics Limited and Singapore Technologies Kinetics Limited. He heads up the GRC committees on these boards. 
 
Bill is a Colombo Plan Scholar and holds a Bachelor of Arts (Economics) and a Bachelor of Engineering Honours Class 1 (Industrial) from the University of Newcastle, Australia. He is a Fellow at the Singapore Institute of Directors. 

Bautista Julio Rodriguez 

EDPR Chief Technical Officer 

Bautista Rodríguez Sánchez holds a degree in Industrial Engineering from the University of Oviedo, majoring in Electricity, Electronics and Automation. He has successfully completed the Advanced General Management Program at the European School of Business Administration, and the Advanced Management Program at IESE Business School. 
 
He began his professional career at Electricité de France in Lille (France) in 1988, as part of the European Union's Comett Project. 
 
In 1989, he joined Hidroeléctrica del Cantábrico, where he worked as Head of Transmission and Distribution Network Planning until 1999. 
 
From 1999 to 2002, he was Director of Planning and Customers at Hidrocantábrico Distribución, where he was involved in regulatory issues and, in particular, in the Spanish Electricity Distribution Activity Remuneration Model, as well as developing new competitive electricity distribution markets. 
 
From 2002 to 2007, he held the positions of Director of Renewables and Networks at Hidrocantábrico and Director of Construction at NEO (EDP). 
 
He has been with EDP Renewables since 2008 and currently holds the position of Technical Director, as well as being a member of the Boards of Directors of various subsidiaries and investee companies in different markets. In 2020, he was appointed to the Board of Directors of Ocean Winds and in 2021, CEO of Ocean Winds and Member of the Management Team of EDP Renewables.

João Pedro Burnay Summavielle 

EDPR Group Finance Director 

João Summavielle graduated in Economics at Oporto University (FEP) and holds several post-graduate degrees, namely in General Management (Oporto Business School), Advanced Finance (Catholic University in Lisbon), and the Advanced Management Program for Leadership (INSEAD). 
 
He started his career in 1994 in Oporto/Portugal as a financial analyst, developing scoring and credit rating models for a financial institution (INH) and then as an internal auditor in Sonae, one of the most important Non-Financial Portuguese Corporations. 
 
Later, in 1997, he moved to Portgas, the Natural Gas Distribution company for the North of Portugal, as internal controller, and later on, he was promoted to Finance Director, as head of Accounting, Tax, P&C and Finance. From 2006 to 2009, he moved to Spain (Bilbao), where he was invited to join Naturgas Group, one of the leading companies in the Natural Gas market in Spain, leading the Global Finance & Procurement departments. 
 
In 2009, he was appointed Executive Finance Director for EDP Renewables. Last December, he was invited to take over the role of EDP Group Finance Director, on top of his current role at EDP Renewables.
