EDP Renewables Donates $20k to Texas School District Nearby its Cattlemen Solar Park

Houston-based EDP Renewables North America (EDPR NA), a leading renewable energy developer and top five renewable energy operator in the United States, recently gifted $20,000 to the Rosebud-Lott Independent School District (RLISD) in Lott, Texas, to purchase foul poles for its baseball and softball fields.

Rosebud, Texas, June 18, 2023: Houston-based EDP Renewables North America (EDPR NA), a leading renewable energy developer and top five renewable energy operator in the United States, recently gifted $20,000 to the Rosebud-Lott Independent School District (RLISD) in Lott, Texas, to purchase foul poles for its baseball and softball fields.

RLISD is located near EDPR NA’s 240-megawatt (MW) Cattlemen I Solar Park, which is currently under construction in Milam County, Texas. The local community members identified the need for the new foul poles, and EDPR NA was proud to step up to the plate in providing the necessary equipment.

“We appreciate the generous donation from EDP Renewables that enabled us to purchase new foul poles. Our coaches, athletes, and students are all very grateful for this improvement to our facilities,” said Dr. Jim Rosebrock, Rosebud-Lott Independent School District Superintendent. “We look forward to continuing to work with EDP Renewables as they continue with the construction of their Cattlemen Solar Park.”
