The EDPR NA Houston Asset Management team volunteered at the Center Friday, June 26.

The Center is a private, nonprofit organization that seeks to provide opportunities for personal growth and independence to adults with developmental and intellectual disabilities. In order to accomplish its mission, the Center holds various residential, day, and vocational services for its clients.

EPDR NA volunteers assisted in the vocational center where they helped clients put together mailings and refurbish Comcast remotes. For many of these adults, this is their first job, which is a crucial step toward independence. The EDPR team also spent time in the classrooms, socializing and coloring with clients who were excited to share their artwork.

The Center relies on its staff and volunteers to make its services and programs possible. Volunteer opportunities are available every day of the week, and the Center works to match an individual's skillset where it's needed most.
